Join me at The Pink Door restaurant in the Pike Place Market for a fun night out! Fyi--I perform on the stage in the first room, in case you make reservations... (You may not be able to make a reservation for the room with the stage, though my electric cello gets connected to the sound system throughout the restaurant.... and there's often space to sit at the bar, especially in the later part of the evening:)

Music, and some stories around the pieces... Get a cup of tea from the bookshop (or the Starbucks right across the way... you can bring in any beverage you like, as long as it is in a covered container:) and join me for a night of electric cello with heart.

Poema--Tango Showcase

Milonga starts at 9:30

$40 for both the show and milonga.
$15 for just the Milonga with DJ Eduardo. "From 7:00-9:00 you will enjoy a fantastic show highlighting the many moods of Argentine Tango. After 9:00 the Audience will stay to enjoy social dancing. If you already dance Argentine Tango this is your chance to support your friends and if you have never danced this is a wonderful evening to experience both the performance side and the social side of Tango."

NW Sinfonietta Orchestra--Beethoven + Ries

Northwest Sinfonietta opens its 29th concert season with a program celebrating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth. The program features Beethoven’s epic violin concerto paired with the first symphony of Beethoven’s student, trusted factotum and brilliant composer in his own right, Ferdinand Ries. Simone Porter is a rising young artist on the national and international stage, known for her impassioned energy and interpretive integrity.

Different Drummer Band show

Chapel Performance Space, 4649 Sunnyside Ave N, Seattle, WA

Our multi-genre chamber ensemble includes my NW Sinfonietta colleagues--violinist/fiddler extraordinaire Brandon Vance, yours truly on cello, bassist with the most-est Anna Doak... Add to the mix Don Dieterich, a percussionist who is willing to whack on any number of non-traditional gadgets from lampshades to garbage cans, and you've got a show that represents genres as varied as the artists presenting it.  Prepare to be entertained, amused and exhilarated by this unique collaboration!

Electric Cello Glow!

Here is the info for this Burien Arts-a-Glow, which is sure to be magical... It was really neat last year, and I'm happy to be performing again this year!  The full event runs from 5:00-10:00pm.

The forest comes alive with magic! Join us for Arts-A-Glow Festival of Light, when Dottie Harper Park and Community Center Annex Park are transformed by artist installations, magical lighting, and performers. Follow us on Facebook.

All are invited to our FREE!!! lantern-making booth. Want to make your lantern at home? We have helpful tips on how to turn jarsballoons, and pie tins into whimsical lights. Face painting from Burien Arts Association and more activity booths from the Environmental Science Center and Seattle ReCreative!

Procession

Join the procession at its new location and new route! Procession will start at 8 p.m. at the southeast corner of the Burien Community Center parking lot. Lanterns and costumes encouraged! No candles please.
