I'll be performing electric cello on a number of Wednesdays at the Seattle Public Library Central branch as part of my extended artist residency at SPL. This will be during Coffee & Conversations, which is a time for staff and patrons to connect, including those in need of social services. All are welcome! (free--sponsored by Seattle Public Library)

"Please join celebrated cellist and Seattle Public Library past Artist in Residence, Gretchen Yanover, in the Children's Center for an informal concert. She will perform her own compositions using a looping pedal, and kids will have opportunities to ask questions, share thoughts and ideas, as well as share suggestions of favorite books they would be interested in hearing with musical accompaniment!" Cello concert at Darrington Library

 —  —

Darrington Library, 1005 Cascade St, Darrington, WA

"Join us for a live, in-person cello performance by musician Gretchen Yanover! Experience musical pieces both moving & atmospheric and learn about this artist's journey.

Cellist Gretchen Yanover wears two musical hats: one as a composer of spacious string atmospheres which she performs on electric cello with looping pedal—and one as a classical acoustic cellist. She has played with Northwest Sinfonietta orchestra since 1998, she created music for and performed with LeVar Burton Reads live, and has had compositions commissioned by Seattle Symphony, Seattle Pacific University, and University of Oregon.

Light refreshments will be provided. Seating is available first come, first served."
